BRIDGES: Aucoin
& Associates, Inc. Design Engineers have many years of experience in
the design of bridge structures. The
Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD) has given
us a high rating in their Off-System Bridge Program. As a result, we have
completed over 100 Off-System Bridge State Projects in various parishes
throughout the State of Louisiana. Additionally,
we have completed the design of several LDOTD highway bridges, such as the
unique Cane
River Bridge in Natchitoches, Louisiana, with its’ pedestrian
walkways, ornamental railings, and antique colonial street lamps. Our
experienced staff provides consulting services for bridge repair and
replacement projects for local governments.
Several timber and concrete bridge structures have been replaced or
repaired over the past 50 years.

SYNOPSIS |

Cane River Bridge was a Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD) project awarded to Aucoin & Associates, Inc. to replace the existing bridge located in Natchitoches, Louisiana with a three lane 6 @ 75 foot Type III Girder Span Bridge with a clear roadway width of 52 feet and two 5 foot wide sidewalks. The structural design includes lighting supports for lighting of the bridge and roadway, ornamental iron lacework rails and has Antique Colonial street lamps. |
