WASTEWATER EXPERIENCE

The following represents summary statements for wastewater projects for which Aucoin & Associates, Inc. (A&A) has and is furnishing engineering services:

Client: City of Eunice (2.0 Average Million Gal/Day Plant)

A&A performed analysis studies of the existing wastewater treatment plant, including plant design capacity, condition and efficiency.  This information was then used to make construction cost estimates and operating efficiency for refurbishing the existing plant and adding a new plant to jointly receive and treat the municipalities wastewater to meet federal and state required treatment.  Services for engineering design plans and construction observation for the project were furnished by A&A.  Presently the plant is satisfactorily meeting and exceeding treatment mandated requirements.

Client: City of Jennings (2.0 Average Million Gal/Day Plant)

A&A performed studies of the existing wastewater treatment plant, including plant design capacity, condition and efficiency.  This analysis and cost estimate indicated it was more cost efficient to abandon the existing plant and build a new facility capable of handling all of the City's treatment needs.

The new facility is designed to meet or exceed treatment mandated requirements.

Client: Town of Mamou (0.75 Average Million Gal/Day Plant)

A&A performed the same engineering services for the Mamou Wastewater Treatment Facility as was performed for the City of Jennings, and described above.

Client: Town of Washington (0.3 Average Million Gal/Day Plant)

A&A performed studies of the existing wastewater treatment plant, including plant design capacity, condition and efficiency.  This analysis and cost estimate indicated it is more cost efficient to update the existing treatment facility with additional equipment and operation.

Clients: Municipalities of Basile, Elton, Fisher and Florine

A&A prepared grant applications and engineering studies for the above municipalities.  All of the grant applications were funded.  With local funding along with federal and state grant monies, these municipalities constructed wastewater collection/service lines, lift stations and treatment facilities and are in compliance with discharge permits for treated wastewater.

A&A in coordination with Pontchartrain Engineers & Surveyors, Inc. in Ponchatoula, Louisiana has prepared engineering studies, cost estimates, designed plans/specifications and construction observation for upgrading the City of Ponchatoula's existing wastewater treatment plant which treats an average of 1.85 million gallons per day.

Also in coordination with Pontchartrain Engineers, all surveying and design was performed for construction of new wastewater treatment facilities at the following towns:

   1. Village of Tickfaw                           2. Town of Independence

Tangipahoa Parish School Board employed Pontchartrain Engineers to perform analysis of all its school board owned wastewater treatment facilities.  A&A, as a sub consultant performed these studies of 13 plants and prepared reports as to facility modifications and operations to upgrade their treatment plant.
