Experience in Boundary Surveys & Monumentation

 

Aucoin & Associates, Inc. has approximately fifty one (51) years experience in land surveying within the State of Louisiana, which has gained its personnel much experience including property, topography, oilfield, pipeline and construction related surveys.  We have remained abreast of current surveying technology and have incorporated appropriate equipment and techniques into the surveying department throughout its history in an effort to keep the most efficient and quality operation possible.

All personnel in our Survey Department have involvement and experience in performing property boundary, horizontal and vertical control, hydrographic, cadastral and topographic surveys and have proven their competence and reliability on past projects within each area.  These various forms of surveying have been performed for Corps of Engineers (New Orleans District), governmental clients on the municipal, parish and state levels as well as private sector clientele consisting of land owner, oilfield exploration companies and oilfield pipeline companies performing preliminary, construction and as built surveys.                     

SURVEY EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE

Total Station and Data Collector

Our Survey Department is equipped with Topcon GTS-3 Total Station theodolites and uses Hewlett Packard 48SX Scientific Expandable Calculators packed with the TDS FC-48 Data Collection software along with 128K Ram Card.  All data is then downloaded to P.C. via Topcon's transfer program which provides numerous selections for reduction formats. Field collected data utilizing data collector can be sent directly to an office computer via our GVC SM-2496 send or receive modems.

Global Positioning System (GPS)

Aucoin & Associates, Inc. is equipped with the latest GPS Technology tools - The Trimble Site Surveyor 4400, the Trimble 5700 GPS and Trimble 5800 GPS Dual Frequency System.  This a dual frequency GPS system capable of centimeter level real time kinematic positioning, fast-static control positioning, and other useful tasks unique to this new technology.
